Kashkikwaason
Kashkikwaason is Anishinaabemowin for sewing. This practice from Treaty 9 is a skill taught through generations of knowledge, as new materials are introduced, hides and furs have been the main items to use for moccasins, hats and mittens.
Audrea Sturgeon
I have been sewing Anishinaabe cultural items for many years, practicing my skill by making moccasins, mittens and hats. Started my interest with beading and learning from my community Elders to expand my craft making. This website will showcase some work, you can buy when items become available, or learn to make basic items by following video tutorials when you purchase a kit.
